Idea No. 47 | Not picture perfect? That’s OK!

Culling through our photos is an important part of our organization process as scrapbookers–if we never deemed any of our photos outcasts then most of us would probably be drowning in photos by now. That said, this doesn’t mean we should get rid of all of our photos that are any less than perfect. If the photo captures your story then it is scrap-worthy–even if its blurry, over/under-exposed or faded and torn. In Sweet Dreams I took a few design cues from these old and overexposed photos of myself napping as a child in order to help them feel more at home in my page. I used their purplish-grey color to help direct the color scheme of my page and tie everything together. Start embracing a little imperfection in your pages and give scrapbooking your less-than-perfect photos a try.
